Starting this year, I will resume my latte reviews in this blog instead of from my
website. The blog provides easy layout, time stamp and labels for quick reference. Without further ado, here goes:
- Tang: Thick and creamy texture with vanilla flavour, the taste is nearly identical to its rival cousin Second Cup's Vanilla Chiller. The mandatory whip cream definitely adds some thickness to the drink.
- Sweetness/Ice: There are some finely crushed ice pellets at the bottom of the drink and there is a slight sweetness to the drink which is just right for this kind of rich latte.
- Value: I still think Starbucks sell overpriced drinks but at least you get to sit at their shops.
- Overall tilt: The Vanilla Bean's savour is a clone of the Second Cup's Vanilla Chiller albeit it's richer texture. I personally prefer the Vanilla Chiller since it's a much lighter drink but those who like more creamy drinks might find the Vanilla Bean a better companion.
