I am big fan of the Harry Potter books but watching the movies feel like fine dinning minus the entrée and the dessert with a short time limit to complete the meal. Lots of small details that make the book more comprehensible and enjoyable have been ignored, as a fan of the book, I feel neglected.
However, it's understandable that the translation of an 800+ pages book into a 2+ hours long movie is quite a feat to accomplish. In that regards, the cinematography is top notch with each scene capturing the magical elements that enchant us, muggles, into the vast and intriguing Harry Potter universe. I am not sure how someone who has not read the book can understand the plot behind the movie but from its pacing, I believe the director has done a great job capturing the attention of the viewers and for that, kudos to the team behind this motion picture.
