Moosehead Lager

Starting this Spring/Summer 2009, I will start reviewing some of the domestic beer that we have in Canada as well as any imports I can get hold on.  The main motivation for the this project is to differentiate the thousands of ale and lager that are available on the market.  I have never been a big fan of this beverage but lately, I have just noticed the real difference between an ale and a lager.  The ale feels much more richer than the lighter taste of the lagger.  Without further a due, I will start with my favourite lagger so far, the Moosehead.
  • Hop: I really like Moosehead because of the absence of the bitterness from the hop.
  • Flavour: I cannot find any distinguish flavour from this lager.
  • Aftertaste: Practically none, so it is a perfect drink for any occasions.
  • Overall: It is my go to beer because of its light texture with no bitterness which can be quite refreshing during a blistering summer.  I will recommend this brand for entry level beer drinkers.
